The Sensus MeiTwin is a compound (combination) water meter for cold water up to 50 °C, designed for installations with an extremely wide, fluctuating flow profile. A Woltmann main meter and a piston-type by-pass meter are arranged in-line and linked by a spring-loaded changeover valve, so high flows are recorded by the main meter and very low flows (down to 6 l/h) by the by-pass — ideal for combined domestic/fire-service supplies and for leakage detection. The main meter, changeover valve and by-pass form a single removable “3-in-1” metrological unit.
