Resilient Seal Gate Valves (RSV) – Socketed
The Woodlands Resilient Seal Gate Valve (Socketed) is the socket-ended sibling of the flanged RSV, an ISO-approved ductile-iron isolating valve for water reticulation and distribution networks. Its resilient EPDM-bonded wedge seals directly against a smooth, fusion-bonded epoxy (FBE) coated body bore for drop-tight shut-off with no bottom recess where grit and debris can collect, while the integrally-cast sockets connect directly to pipe for a compact, joint-saving installation.
Features & Construction
ISO 9001 approved and manufactured to SANS 664
Fusion-bonded epoxy (FBE) coating inside and out for corrosion protection
Pressure rating PN16 (16 bar); body test 24 bar, seat test 18 bar
Temperature range 0–52 °C
Non-rising stem with resilient EPDM-bonded ductile-iron wedge for drop-tight sealing
Socketed (spigot) ends cast integrally with the body; available with handwheel or cap top
Also available in flanged ends
Ductile-iron body, bonnet, cap, core and wedge (EN 1563 GJS500-7); stainless-steel stem (EN10088-1); bronze stem nut (EN1982)
Nylon bushing, washer and shoes; EPDM O-rings, gaskets and dust cover (EN681-1); galvanised-steel studs
