Clamp-On Flow Meter
The clamp-on flow meter is a non-invasive, transit-time ultrasonic flow measurement system whose transducers strap onto the outside of an existing pipe, so no pipe cutting, process shutdown or pressure loss is involved. It is ideal for retrofitting into water-supply networks, for leakage monitoring and as a back-up or check meter alongside existing instrumentation, across a very wide range of pipe sizes and materials.
Features & Specifications
Transit-time (differential time-of-flight) ultrasonic measuring principle with high-speed DSP signal processing
Fully non-invasive clamp-on transducers — no pipe penetration, no pressure drop and no wetted parts
Accuracy ±1 % of rate or better, 0.5 % linearity and 0.2 % repeatability
Suits a wide pipe range via interchangeable transducer sets, covering roughly DN40–DN2200
Works on virtually any pipe material and on clean or lightly-laden liquids including water, sewage and industrial fluids
RS-232 / RS-485 communication with current-loop and OCT pulse outputs; optional GPRS/CDMA networking
Built-in data totalisers retaining flow history (up to 64 days / 64 months on some models)
Power supply AC 110/220 V or DC 8–36 V; powder-coated aluminium enclosure rated IP65
User-configurable response time and value-modification lockouts for secure field use
Size range: DN40-DN2200
