The ACQ580 is the drive in ABB's all-compatible portfolio designed specifically for water and wastewater. Rather than adapting a general purpose drive, it ships with pump application software already built in: it can calculate flow and head without a sensor, fill pipework softly to avoid surge, clean a fouled impeller automatically, and protect against dry running and cavitation. For installations where harmonic distortion matters, the ultra-low-harmonic -31 and -34 variants use an active front end to help meet IEEE 519 and G5/4.
